Beijing- headquartered Jingtian & Gongcheng has made two high profile hires in the capital: James Wang, who led Han Kun Law Offices’ private funds practice; and Tracy Liu, who was an employment law partner at UK firm Fieldfisher’s Shanghai office.
Wang has almost two decades of experience in the fields of investment funds and PE/VC, having represented clients in the structuring of about 1,000 renminbi and U.S. dollar funds. He joined Han Kun in October 2010 from U.S. firm Greenberg Traurig, where he was a partner. Prior to that, Wang worked with Clifford Chance and Kirkland & Ellis.
Wang is also a member of the review committee of the QFLP and QDLP pilot programmes of the Shanghai Financial Services Office.
Meanwhile, Liu, who specialises in employment law, also does corporate, FDI and M&A work. Prior to Fieldfisher Shanghai, Liu worked as associate at Baker McKenzie, German firm Beiten Burkhardt and Allbright Law Offices.

王勇律师在投资基金、私募股权/创业投资等领域具备近20年的丰富执业经验,代表客户处理了千余支人民币基金和美元基金的设立。2010年10月,王勇律师加入汉坤律师事务所,在此之前曾在美国Greenberg Traurig律师事务所担任合伙人。更早些时候,王勇律师在高伟绅律师事务所和凯易国际律师事务所执业。
王勇律师同时也是上海金融服务办公室QFLP和QDLP试点项目评审委员会委员。
除劳动法以外,刘琦律师的主要执业领域还包括公司法、外商直接投资和并购。在斐石(上海)执业以前,刘琦律师作为律师曾在贝克•麦坚时国际律师事务所、德国百达国际律师事务所、锦天城律师事务所执业多年。
