Beijing-headquartered FenXun Partners has hired a team of eight lawyers, including two partners, in the capital. Partners Shirley Wang and Grace Chen and their team join from Zhong Lun Law Firm.

FenXun has been in a joint operation with Baker McKenzie in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone since 2015.

Wang has over two decades of experience in advising domestic and multinational companies on their China inbound and outbound transactions, including deals in relation to the Belt and Road Initiative. Her sector of focus includes energy, real estate, transportation, agriculture and aviation.

Chen’s areas of focus includes banking and finance, corporate and M&A matters. She advises on domestic and cross-border investment and financing activities in industries such as energy, mining, real estate, agriculture and manufacturing.

“Their vast experience and knowledge nicely complement our existing finance & projects capabilities and will also bolster our ability to advise clients on deals in relation to Belt and Road countries,” FenXun said in a statement.
