Reed Smith has hired regulatory and investigations specialist Dora Wang as a partner in its practice in its Shanghai and New York offices from Morgan Lewis & Bockius.
Wang’s hiring comes at a time when the trade war between the U.S. and China is heating up, with retaliatory measures expected on both sides in the form of company blacklists.
With a resume that includes working in government, Wang has more than a decade of experience in regulatory affairs in the U.S. and Asia, including international negotiations and crisis management. Her areas of focus include antitrust and competition, cybersecurity and data privacy, corruption and bribery, due diligence, compliance audit and policy formulations and implementation, and dispute resolution.
Wang joined Morgan Lewis’ Shanghai office in March 2017, as part of a five-lawyer team that moved from Simmons & Simmons. She was later promoted to partner.
