Tahota Law firm has advised China Chengda Engineering on the signing of a $1.5 billion engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract on a 5,400-tonne/day methanol project with Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant in Russia.
The project is by far the largest methanol project of a single production line in Russia. China Chengda Engineering is the subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation (CNCEC), which currently has 329 overseas projects under construction in more than 60 countries and regions with an accumulative contract value of $44.5 billion.
Tahota’s Chengdu-based senior partners Li Jinnan and Ni Hong led the project.
