Shearman & Sterling and Fangda Partners have represented Chinese assisted reproductive services (ARS) provider Jinxin Fertility Group on its $390 million Hong Kong IPO, with Paul Hastings and Commerce & Finance Law Offices advising the joint sponsors and underwriters.
Jinxin Fertility is the first ARS company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and its listing marks the biggest medical institution IPO in the city till date.
The company owns several fertility companies in China and beyond, including Chengdu Xinan, Shenzhen Zhongshan and the U.S.-based HRC Fertility. In 2018, Jinxin ranked third in China for in vitro fertilization treatment cycles performed.
The Fangda team advising Jinxin on Hong Kong law was led by partners Bao Chen and Wang Su. Zhong Lun Law Firm advising the company on PRC law, with its team led by partner Wang Bing.
The Paul Hastings team was led by Raymond Li, global partner and chair of the Greater China practice, and corporate partner Zhaoyu Ren. Meanwhile, the Commerce & Finance team was led by partner Wang Bo.
Tian Yuan Law Firm and its associated Hong Kong law firm William Ji & Co. advised the company’s shareholders. The Tian Yuan team was led by partners Fu Siqi and Yu Yan, while the William Ji & Co. team was led by partner Li Jihong.
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton advised the company on healthcare regulatory matters related to U.S. law, while Conyers Dill & Pearman advising the company on Cayman Islands law.
