Haiwen & Partners has hired Philip Chan as a corporate partner in Hong Kong from Hong Kong International Construction Investment Management (HKICIM), where he was general counsel.

Chan specialises in Hong Kong capital markets transactions and cross-border mergers and acquisitions with a focus on initial public offerings and post-IPO M&A involving China, including H-shares and red chips, and overseas background issuers.  

During his tenure at HKICIM, Chan led the team working on compliance, investigations, investments and withdrawal transactions. 

Prior to joining HKICIM in May 2018, he worked as senior legal counsel at HNA Group (International) Company Limited from May 2017 to May 2018. Prior to that, he worked as counsel at Clifford Chance for five years.

The addition of Chan will further strengthen the firm’s capabilities in equity capital markets and cross-border M&A in Hong Kong, according to the firm’s statement.

香港资本市场和并购业务专家陈嘉信律师作为合伙人加入海问律师事务所香港联营所。加入海问前，陈嘉信律师在香港国际建筑投资有限公司担任总法律顾问。

陈嘉信律师在香港资本市场交易和跨境并购方面拥有丰富经验，尤其是涉及中国（包括H股和红筹股）以及海外背景发行人的首次公开募股及上市后的并购、合规等工作 。

在香港国际建筑投资有限公司任职期间，陈嘉信律师全面负责该公司的法务管理以及合规、调查、投资/撤资交易等法律事宜。

2018年5月加入香港国际建筑投资有限公司之前，陈嘉信律师曾在海航集团（国际）有限公司担任一年高级法律顾问。更早之前，曾作为顾问在高伟绅律师事务所执业五年。

陈嘉信律师的加入将进一步提升海问在资本市场和跨境并购领域向客户提供高质量服务的能力。
