Yingke Law Firm has opened an office in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, becoming the second Chinese law firm establishing a presence there after Duan & Duan in May this year.
Yingke’s Tashkent office, led by partner Yang Tianbin, will help Chinese businesses and individuals navigate the Uzbek legal landscape while avoiding compliance pitfalls.
Yingke’s forays into Central Asia is largely driven by the increase in investment needs among domestic clients under China’s Belt & Road Initiative, and also by the fact that Sino-Uzbek cooperation is increasing, especially in the trade and economic sphere.
The firm previously added Kazakh law firm Colibri and Kyrgyz law firm Kalikova & Associates to its global legal network. DeHeng is another Chinese law firm with a presence in Central Asia, it opened a Kazakhstan office in October 2018.
