Atlas Asia Law Corporation, an independent member firm of the global EY network based in Singapore, has hired two more lawyers from Dentons Rodyk & Davidson as directors: Chan Wan Hong and Desiree Lee.
Atlas Asia was set up by former Dentons Rodyk senior partner Evelyn Ang in July last year. Three lawyers joined her then from her former firm – former corporate partners Kenneth Cheow and Glenda Lee, and former associate Claire Tan.
Chan, who was a senior partner at Dentons Rodyk, has over two decades of experience. He focuses on corporate finance, capital markets, M&As, venture capital and private equity investments, and has advised on IPOs, reverse takeovers, rights issues, share placements, public and private M&As, joint ventures and other corporate actions and transactions.
Meanwhile, Lee’s focus is on venture capital and private equity investments, capital market transactions and M&As. She advises on investments in start-ups and other businesses and corporate actions by listed and private companies. Lee was a senior associate when she left Dentons Rodyk.
On Hong and Lee’s appointment, Ang said: “We are delighted to welcome Wan Hong and Desiree to our team at AALC. They will further reinforce our capabilities in corporate and commercial matters and play a key role in supporting clients on corporate reorganisations, capital raising, M&As, venture capital and private equity investments.”
