近日，毅柏律师事务所在正式启动上海办事处离岸法律服务的同时，也迎来了姚华律师以合伙人身份加盟其上海办事处。

姚律师擅长私募股权基金、并购及一般企业事务，并对各类跨境投资，特别是在科技、媒体和通信（TMT）的行业领域，拥有广泛经验。加入毅柏之前，姚律师曾在方达律师事务所工作。

毅柏在一份新闻稿中指出，其上海办公室将能够提供全方位的离岸法律服务，范围涵盖公司和商业法律、争议解决事务以及私人客户与信托事务。

据悉，毅柏是首家领取牌照获准在中国内地提供离岸法律服务的离岸律师事务所，也是第二家在中国内地设有常驻律师的离岸律所。

Appleby launches offshore legal services and adds new partner in Shanghai

Appleby's Shanghai office has launched offshore legal services, and to further enhance its services, the firm has recently appointed Hannah Yao as a partner in Shanghai.

Yao is a dual-qualified lawyer who has been admitted to the U.S. (New York) and PRC bar. She specialises in private equity funds, M&A and general corporate matters, and has extensive experience in cross-border investments, particularly in TMT sectors. Before joining Appleby, she worked at Fangda Partners.

Appleby has issued a press release stating that its Shanghai office will offer a complete range of offshore legal services covering all aspects of corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution, and private client and trusts.

The firm also mentioned that it was the first offshore firm to obtain a license to provide offshore legal advice in mainland China and will be the second to have lawyers based permanently in mainland China.
