汉坤律师事务所近日迎来资本市场专家王宇律师加盟，据悉，王律师将成为汉坤香港办公室的注册外国律师，同时也是汉坤纽约的合伙人。
王宇律师专注于美国资本市场业务领域，拥有近20年的执业经验。他代表公司在纳斯达克或纽交所首次上市公开发行或de-SPAC上市，为美国上市公司就合规性及公司治理等事宜提供常年法律服务，并为美国上市公司的后续证券公开和私募发行以及并购交易提供服务。此外，王律师也在pre-IPO和私募股权交易中为发行人或投资机构提供法律咨询。
加入汉坤之前，王律师曾在美国盛信律师事务所纽约和北京办公室作为律师工作近十年，然后分别在美国美富律师事务所香港办公室担任顾问，以及在金杜律师事务所香港办公室担任注册外国律师。
汉坤在一份新闻稿中表示，王律师的加入将为其资本市场业务注入了新的活力，他在美国资本市场业务领域的专业能力和丰富经验将进一步提升该所在资本市场业务领域为客户提供全方位法律服务的能力。
据汉坤官网信息显示，随着王律师的加入，其香港办公室目前共有25名法律专业人员。汉坤香港在今年1月吸纳了公司业务专家容璟瑜律师，在5月聘请了债务资本市场专家张一伦律师。
Han Kun strengthens capital markets in Hong Kong and New York
Han Kun Law Offices has recently added a capital markets expert Wang Yu, becoming the registered foreign lawyer of the firm’s Hong Kong office and is also a partner of Han Kun LLP in New York.
Wang has almost 20 years of legal experience and focuses on U.S. securities law matters in connection with capital markets transactions.
He regularly represents issuers in initial public offerings on Nasdaq and NYSE, and listing through de-SPAC transactions, and also provides legal advices on compliance and corporate governance matters to U.S.-listed companies, as well as representing U.S.-listed companies in follow-on public offerings, PIPE transactions, and acquisitions. In addition, Wang also regularly advises companies and institutional investors on pre-IPO investments and private placement transactions.
Prior to joining Han Kun, Wang worked as an associate for nearly ten years in the New York and Beijing offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He then worked in Hong Kong as a counsel with Morrison Foerster and as a registered foreign lawyer with King & Wood Mallesons.
“The addition of Wang will bring new strength to the firm’s capital markets practice, and his expertise and ample experience in the U.S. capital markets practice will further enhance the firm’s ability to provide a full range of legal services to clients in capital markets transactions,” said Han Kun, in a statement.
According to Han Kun, with the addition of Wang, the firm’s Hong Kong office now has 25 legal professionals. Han Kun added corporate partner Bonnie Yung in its Hong Kong offices in January and debt capital markets expert Allen Zhang in May.
