总部位于洛杉矶的乐博律师事务所迎来James Zimmerman、Scott Palmer两位律师以合伙人身份加盟其北京办公室。
与他们一同加入的还有15位律师、律师助理、知识产权专员，这支团队全部来自本周刚刚宣布即将关闭的博钦律师事务所北京办公室。
乐博表示，待监管批准后，原博钦北京知识产权代理公司也将转为由乐博控制。该公司将继续由Scott Palmer领导。
Zimmerman在中国工作了近30年时间，为外国企业提供公司、交易、合规、诉讼、白领犯罪辩护等服务，主要聚焦于媒体、音乐、电影电视产业。他经常为外国媒体提供和中国相关的安全、新闻自由，以及日常运营咨询，他曾担任四届中国美国商会主席。
Palmer则为众多产业提供知识产权服务，涉及领域包括品牌开发、广告和产品质量、专利授权及诉讼，以及反假冒和反盗版诉讼及执行。Palmer拥有一支在亚洲地区最知名的品牌保护业务团队。他还是中国美国商会法律事务委员会的联席主席。
这是Zimmerman、Palmer律师第二度携手更换律所平台：2018年5月，他们曾共同从美国盛智律师事务所加盟博钦，盛智随后于第二年关闭了北京办公室。

此前，乐博北京共有五名员工，其中包括3位合伙人。
Former Perkins Coie Beijing Partners Join Loeb’s Beijing Office with 17-Member Team
Los Angeles-based law firm Loeb & Loeb has welcomed James Zimmerman and Scott Palmer as partners in its Beijing office. Joining them are 15 lawyers, paralegals, and IP specialists, all from Perkins Coie’s Beijing office, which recently announced its closure this week.
Loeb also confirmed that, pending regulatory approval, the former Perkins Coie Beijing IP Agency will come under its control, with Scott Palmer continuing to lead the agency.
Zimmerman has worked in China for nearly 30 years, advising foreign companies on corporate matters, transactions, compliance, litigation, and white-collar crime defense, with a primary focus on the media, music, and film and television industries. He frequently consults foreign media on China-related issues such as security, press freedom, and daily operations. Zimmerman has served four terms as Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in China.
Palmer provides intellectual property services across various industries, covering areas such as brand development, advertising and product quality, patent licensing and litigation, as well as anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy litigation and enforcement. He leads one of Asia’s most renowned brand protection teams and serves as co-chair of the Legal Affairs Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in China.
This marks the second time Zimmerman and Palmer have transitioned law firms together. In May 2018, they moved from U.S. law firm Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton to Perkins Coie, after which Sheppard closed its Beijing office the following year.
