与史密夫斐尔律师事务所联营的科伟律师事务所迎来知识产权专家雷鹏律师以合伙人身份加盟。加入科伟前,雷律师在汉坤律师事务所任合伙人。

雷律师此前还作为知识产权诉讼律师,在金杜律师事务所工作;他的第一份工作则是在国家知识产权局任专利审查员。

雷鹏律师擅长复杂的知识产权、专利和反垄断诉讼,业务涉及多个行业,重点聚焦于制造、科技和消费品行业,为众多国际知名企业以及中国大型企业提供服务。

雷律师的加入标志着科伟将开始向客户提供中国知识产权争议解决服务。“雷律师是这一领域的新兴领导者,能够代理国内外客户在中国法院的诉讼以及和监管机构进行沟通。”科伟史密夫斐尔联营办公室资深国际顾问郭武汉表示。据悉,雷律师将与史密夫斐尔全球知识产权团队合作,为世界大型企业提供整合型国际法律服务。

伴随雷律师的加盟,科伟现有4名合伙人,及2名资深国际顾问。

 

HSF’s JO firm Kewei adds IP expert from Han Kun

Herbert Smith Freehills’ joint operation firm in Shanghai, Kewei Law Firm, has hired Lei Peng as partner from Han Kun Law Offices, where he was also a partner.

Before joining Han Kun, Lei worked as an IP litigator at King & Wood Mallesons in Beijing for five years. He started his career as a patent examiner at China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

Lei specialises in complex IP, patent and antitrust-related litigation across industries, particularly manufacturing, tech and consumer goods, and has represented international household names as well as China's biggest businesses.

The hire of Lei represents the launch of IP disputes service of Kewei. "Lei's an emerging leader in this area, offering experience with both domestic and international clients, in China's courts, and with regulators," says Kewei international partner Gavin Guo. Lei will work with Herbert Smith Freehills' global IP team to offer an integrated international offering for some of the world’s largest companies.

With Lei’s arrival, Kewei now has six partners.
