竞天公诚律师事务所近日迎来前普衡律师事务所合伙人，银行与金融专家马捷律师以合伙人加入其香港办公室。
马律师深耕银行与金融、企业重组及破产领域，拥有超过20年的执业经验。加入竞天公诚之前，他曾在普衡律师事务所工作超过14年。

去年，竞天公诚香港办公室便一直在储备专业人才，其中包括知识产权专家蔡柏坚律师，以及前美富合伙人姚颖敏、黄克律师。
随着马律师的加入，该所香港办公室目前共拥有17位合伙人。
HK: PRC’s Jingtian makes banking and finance hire from Paul Hastings
PRC law firm Jingtian & Gongcheng has bolstered its banking and finance practice in Hong Kong after hiring seasoned practitioner James Ma as a partner from Paul Hastings.
With over 20 years of experience, Ma focuses on banking and finance, restructuring and M&A, focusing on cross-border transactions in greater China and Asian markets. The scope includes leveraged financings, bond offerings, IPOs, privatization, real estate financings, trade financings, project financings, and various banking facilities.
His clients include state-owned enterprises, commercial companies, investment banks, and private equity funds. His project experience spans multiple sectors including real estate, hotel, energy, mining, manufacturing, retail, transportation, communication, high-tech, clean energy, biotech, medicine, textile, food and beverage, education, advertising, and information technology.
"The addition of Ma fully demonstrates Jingtian & Gongcheng's strategic plan to continuously attract top talents in key markets. His profound experience and business acumen will further enhance our ability to provide outstanding legal services to clients in the dynamic Asian market environment," said Zhao Yang, chairman of the management committee of Jingtian, in a statement.

Chinese law firms in Hong Kong have been steadily bulking up in recent years, and Jingtian is no different. In 2024, the firm hired IP partner Benjamin Choi from local outfit Oldham Li & Nie, and capital markets partners Vivian Yiu and Huang Ke from Morrison & Foerster.
With the addition of Ma, the firm now has 17 partners in its Hong Kong office.
