Clyde & Co has hired finance and energy expert Fei Kwok in Hong Kong as the head of its Greater China banking and finance head from Norton Rose Fulbright.

Kwok’s departure from NRF comes days after the firm lost a four-lawyer team including Jonathan Silver, who headed its North Asia shipping practice, to offshore firm Maples Group.

Kwok’s areas of practice include advising on asset and project finance with a special focus on transport and energy projects such as oil and gas (including LNG) and petrochemicals. Her clients include commercial corporations and financial institutions.

According to a press release from Clyde, Kwok’s “appointment is part of the firm's strategic objective to capitalise on the growth potential of banking and finance, particularly in light of the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) and the Greater Bay Area (GBA) agenda.”
