Dacheng Law Offices has appointed outbound investment lawyer Nancy Sun as senior partner to its Shanghai office from Minter Ellison, where she served as a special counsel.

Sun’s practice spans cross-border M&A, FDI and project finance, particularly in energy and resources. Specialising in M&As, JVs, setting up new businesses, round-trip investment, capital raising, employee relations strategy and corporate governance, she has advised a number of Chinese and international clients on inbound and outbound transactions.

“The joining of Nancy will further strengthen our outbound investment practice and significantly increase our capacity to serve our clients in their cross border transactions,” said Wu Chenyao, chair of the executive committee of Dacheng’s Shanghai office, in a statement.
