A fast-growing innovation based biopharmaceutical company group now looks for a Senior Legal Counsel who is enthusiastic towards drug innovation, and has good experience to advise business on legal issues, risks and solutions.  This position will report to the General Counsel. Work location can be Suzhou or Shanghai.

Specifically, this Senior Legal Counsel candidate will primarily be responsible for - 
•    supporting company’s overseas operations in the US and EU, advising on cross-border activities between China and overseas locations, 
•    handling or legal coordination relating to the negotiation and contract drafting on business development (BD) deals, working with law firms on complex deals, 
•    monitoring new laws, cases and legal landscape development; advising management on legal implications relevant to our business, 
•    developing template agreements and other documents to build up the legal infrastructure. 
Required competency and experience:
•    Overseas legal education in the US, UK or other major legal jurisdictions,  
•    Qualified in China or overseas,  
•    Minimum six years of legal experience from law firm or corporate legal, experience of handling biotech BD or investment transactions is a plus,
•    Strong English language skill, spoken and written,
•    Ability to cope with sometimes urgent timelines at a fast pace, 
•    Strong integrity and work ethics, 
•    Collaborative style.
