Baker & McKenzie’s Asia Pacific practice has grown to 342 partners, following two lateral hires and the promotion of 19 lawyers. These promotions were made across six practice groups and eight of the firm’s 14 Asia Pacific offices.

The new additions are project finance lawyer Roy Weitzman and capital markets lawyer Yunlong Gao. Weitzman, who joins the firm from Australian outfit Corrs Chambers Westgarth, will be based in Melbourne. Gao, who has joined the firm from Shearman & Sterling, will be based in Beijing.
