The Hong Kong office of UK firm Barlow Lyde & Gilbert has promoted disputes resolution lawyer Gary Yin to its partnership.
Yin specializes in dispute resolution with a particular focus on China-related commercial and shipping matters. He has extensive experience in cross-border trade, sale of goods, supply of services, commercial fraud and company-related disputes.
Yin has practiced shipping law for 10 years and has significant experience handling contract of carriage, bill of lading, charter party and freight forwarding disputes – as well as various customs-related issues and offences.
He regularly acts for insurance companies and logistics operators in defending liability claims and prosecuting subrogated recovery actions.
Although based in Hong Kong, Yin spends much of his time in China where he has managed and resolved a number of major cases for foreign interests. Many of these cases were conducted in various courts within Mainland China.ALB
