Jun He bagged a total of five awards, while King & Wood Mallesons won four at the ALB China Law Awards 2012 in Beijing on Mar. 28, a night when Davis Polk & Wardwell, Baker & McKenzie, Zhong Lun, Global Law Office and Fangda Partners picked up multiple gongs.
Jun He won the prestigious China Law Firm of the Year award at the awards, the most important event on the Chinese legal industry’s calendar. In what turned out to be a prolific night, it also won the Banking Law Firm of the Year award, Litigation Law Firm of the Year award and Tax Law Firm of the Year award, apart from being one of the firms behind the Equity Market Deal of the Year, Hutchison Port Holdings Trust’s IPO on the Singapore Exchange.
King & Wood Mallesons was not far behind. Apart from sharing the above Equity Market Deal of the Year, it also won the Insolvency & Restructuring Law Firm of the Year award and Beijing Law Firm of the Year award, while its managing partner Wang Ling was named Managing Partner of the Year.
Among the notable international winners, Clifford Chance bagged the International Law Firm of the Year award, while Baker & McKenzie picked up the International Arbitration Law Firm of the Year award. See the full list of winners here. ALB
