DLA Piper has moved partner Jonathan Leitch from London to head the firm’s restructuring practice in Hong Kong, where he will work alongside contentious insolvency expert Graham Ridler.

Leitch’s expertise lies in restructuring, insolvency and workout assignments, and works with a client base ranging from banks and advisory firms to funds and investors.

“We are seeing a strong demand for restructuring and insolvency advice in Asia Pacific, and Hong Kong is a key hub for such assignments,” said Bob Charlton, the firm’s Asia-Pacific managing director, in a statement. “The transfer of Jonathan to Hong Kong will enable us to provide our clients with the best possible service both locally and internationally, and will contribute greatly to the advancement of our practice.”

“Jonathan has built an impressive practice and reputation during his years at the firm, and is the ideal candidate to lead our restructuring group in Hong Kong, and boost our offering across Asia-Pacific,” said Stephen Halladay, DLA Piper’s international head of restructuring.
