Offshore law firm Walkers has boosted its insolvency, restructuring and litigation practice in Asia with the transfer of counsel Tim Haynes from Cayman Islands to Hong Kong.

Haynes brings with him over 18 years of experience working with clients on commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation matters. Prior to joining Walkers’ Cayman Islands office in 2009, Haynes was a member of the Hong Kong Bar, and acted for clients in civil proceedings in the Hong Kong courts.

“We are continuing to see increased demand from existing clients for real time BVI and Cayman Islands legal advice on restructuring, insolvency and litigation related issues,” said Walkers’ Hong Kong partner Fraser Hern. “Tim’s relocation is a further example of the firm’s commitment to develop its Asian offering.”

“(Haynes’) depth of experience will help us continue to meet the diverse and growing needs of our Asian clients,” said Andy Randall, managing partner of the firm’s Hong Kong office, in a statement.
