Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has 14 new counsel worldwide – effective from Nov. 1 – including four promotions in Asia.

Gang Yuan works in the firm’s corporate group in Beijing, and heads the energy and natural resources practice in China. Meanwhile, Christian Zeppezauer operates out of Shanghai and specialises in cross border M&A, private equity, and general corporate matters. Finance specialist Daniel French will relocate from London to Hong Kong in December, while dispute resolution expert Mark Mangan will relocate to Singapore from London.

“We are delighted to be promoting four new counsel in Asia. We have market leading reputations across a number of our practice areas in Asia and I am confident that the technical ability and commercial insight of our new counsel will further enhance our ability to satisfy client needs wherever they arise,” said Robert Ashworth, Freshfields’ Asia managing partner, in a statement.
