Kennedys has expanded its Hong Kong corporate practice with the hire of corporate insurance specialist Peter Cashin.
Previously an in-house counsel at MetLife, Cashin has worked on M&A, strategic alliance matters, regulatory, licensing and compliance issues, and litigation management in the region.
Before MetLife, Cashin was a partner at CMS Cameron McKenna, and also served as an in-house counsel at AIA.
“This is a significant appointment for Kennedys and our clients. Having worked both in-private practice and in-house, Peter brings invaluable commercial knowledge of the legal challenges our clients face and how best to deal with them,” said Kennedys Hong Kong managing partner Richard Bates, in a statement. “We expect the current high levels of M&A activity in the insurance sector to continue.”
