Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised Shui On Land, a Hong Kong-listed property developer, on its $500 million issuance of senior perpetual capital securities.

Issued by Shui On Development (Holding) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shui On Land, the securities will be traded on the Singapore Exchange.

Hong Kong-based finance partner Andrew Heathcote led the Freshfields team, alongside corporate partner Charles Ching in Beijing.

Linklaters represented the joint lead managers and joint bookrunners of the securities – Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan, UBS, and Standard Chartered Bank.

The net proceeds are expected to fund Shui On Land’s expansion plans.
