UK law firm Addleshaw Goddard is set to open an office in Hong Kong after receiving regulatory approval from the Law Society of Hong Kong.
Andrew Carpenter, who was recently appointed managing partner of the firm’s newly formed international division, will head the Hong Kong office, alongside international arbitration and litigation partner Jonathan Tattersall.
“The potential to extend our international reach and capability into Hong Kong is a very exciting development, and meeting the regulatory requirements through the establishment of a new office is an important first step to establishing a stronger presence in the future when suitable opportunities arise,” said Addleshaw Goddard senior partner, Monica Burch, in a statement.
The London-headquartered firm launched offices in Singapore and Dubai in 2012, and most recently opened in Oman this April.
