Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Jia Yuan Law Offices, Davis Polk & Wardwell and JunHe have scored key advisory roles in Legend Holdings’ planned $1.96 billion IPO in Hong Kong.
If the listing takes place, it could be the third-largest IPO in the SAR this year. Beijing-based Legend Holdings, the largest share holder in personal computer maker Lenovo, has secured at least $700 million in orders from more than 20 cornerstone investors.
A Cleary team, led by Hong Kong partners Freeman Chan and Sung K. Kang, is advising Legend. Jia Yuan Law Offices is serving as the issuer’s Chinese counsel.
Davis Polk partners Antony Dapiran, Bonnie Chan and Li He are leading the team advising China International Capital Corp. and UBS AG as sponsors and global co-coordinators. JunHe is advising the underwriters on Chinese law.
Legend aims to price the offering on June 19 and start trading on June 29.
