Swiftly following new offices opened in Shanghai and Kunming, Chengdu-based Tahota Law Firm has launched another office in the U.S. capital of Washington, D.C., its second international office after Hong Kong.
This makes it four new offices for the expansion-hungry Tahota in the past 12 months, starting with Jinan, Shandong Province, almost a year earlier. The D.C. office is the firm’s tenth branch.
The new office, whose primary task is to serve its Chinese clients investing in the U.S., includes two partners and three other lawyers, according to Chen Shoutai, chief partner of the firm. The U.S. branch will specialise in international trade disputes, FDI, M&A, capital markets, immigration and more.
“The United States is a crucial investment destination for Chinese enterprises,” Chen told ALB.
