McDermott Will & Emery and its Chinese partner, MWE China Law Offices, are expanding their forensic MWE China Data Centre (CDC) to provide advanced legal and forensic technology services.
The CDC opened in 2014 as an extension of data and technology services to help companies comply with China’s data privacy and security laws. The CDC has recently expanded from offering litigation and investigative services in other areas to include document review and evidence analysis by local lawyers.
The CDC’s core technology is now expected to be upgraded to accommodate review of larger data sets, with new visualization and investigative tools, including new forensic software for deep metadata analysis, deleted file recovery and improved fraud detection.
The CDC has also recently added veteran forensic technology professionals from Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers with backgrounds in forensic services, anti-corruption, and compliance to provide deeper technical expertise and experience.
