Clifford Chance and Paul Hastings are representing a buyer group in the acquisition of a majority stake in Beijing’s Dinghao Electronics Plaza for $1.34 billion Taiwan-listed developer Sino Horizon Holdings.
The transaction is one of the largest-ever foreign investor acquisitions of a Beijing commercial real estate asset. The buyer group includes Switzerland’s Partners Group, a private equity firm, as well as Ascent Real Estate Investors (ARE), Sigma Delta Partners Investment (SDP Investment) and the Family Office Company.
This is the first investment of ARE, a new China-focused real estate investment manager established by the China real estate team recently spun off from The Carlyle Group. SDP Investment is an integrated investment management platform focusing on China.
ARE and SDP Investment were jointly advised by a Paul Hastings team led by Hong Kong real estate partners David Blumenfeld and Paul Guan, Beijing corporate partner Meka (Qingkai) Meng and Shanghai real estate associate Elyn He.
Partners Group was advised by a Clifford Chance team led by Hong Kong partner Andrew Whan.
Dinghao Plaza is a large mixed-use building complex situated in the heart of Beijing’s Zhongguancun area, known as the “Silicon Valley of China.”

啟诚投资与颢腾投资均有普衡律师事务所代理,由香港房地产部合伙人花大伟律师、管荣律师、北京公司部合伙人孟庆凯律师和上海房地产部何佳玥律师共同主导。
瑞士合众集团则有高伟绅律师事务所代理,由香港办公室合伙人Andrew Whan主导。
