安理国际律师事务所近日宣布，其将在上海自贸区内与上海朗悦律师事务所合作设立联营办公室，这也是上海自贸区内迎来的第七家中外律师事务所联营办公室。

上海朗悦律师事务所创立于2014年，现有21名执业律师，根据安理国际律师事务所的一份新闻稿，朗悦的业务涉及公司事务、并购、资本市场以及监管合规等多个领域。

安理国际律师事务所与朗悦此前曾有过多次密切合作，双方均委任部分合伙人主导此次联营，其中包括安理国际律师事务所北京及上海办公室管理合伙人何志恒律师，以及朗悦合伙人周文新律师——后者在跨境并购交易方面拥有超过20年执业经验。未来双方将在公司事务、并购、私募股权、风险投资、资本市场以及监管合规等多个领域为客户提供无缝衔接的中国法律以及国际法律服务。

根据ALB此前的报道，自2015年来，多家中外律所联营办公室先后在上海自贸区设立，上一家是于2019年8月设立的史密夫斐尔科伟联营办公室。展开联营的律师们告诉ALB：联营成功与否的关键在于合作双方的契合度。

A&O teams up with Lang Yue, Shanghai FTZ welcomes the seventh JO

Allen & Overy announces that it has received approval from the Shanghai Bureau of Justice for its Joint Operation with Shanghai Lang Yue Law Firm in the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone, becoming the seventh international law firm to enter into a JO in the FTZ since 2015.

Shanghai Lang Yue Law Firm was founded in 2014 with 21 licensed PRC lawyers. It provides PRC legal advice and services to local and international clients across a range of practice areas including general corporate, M&A, capital markets and regulatory advisory and compliance. 

A group of partners from both Allen & Overy and Lang Yue who are spearheading the JO includes Victor Ho, Beijing & Shanghai managing partner of Allen & Overy and Zhou Wenxin, partner of Lang Yue who has more than 20 years in China advising on cross-border M&A transactions. The two firms have had several close cooperation before, and the JO will provide seamless PRC and international legal services on general corporate, M&A, private equity, venture capital investments, capital markets, regulatory advisory and compliance in the future.

According to ALB’s previous reportage, Herbert Smith Freehills was the last latest to enter in a JO in Shanghai FTZ. Lawyers told ALB that to make these relationships work, it’s vital that the two firms are compatible with each other.
