10月18日，2024 ALB天达共和十五佳总法律顾问圆桌会议在北京璞瑄酒店圆满举办。 本次盛会由天达共和律师事务所品牌运营总监刘思强女士主持，十五佳上榜总法及获奖代表出席了此次盛会。
首先，汤森路透法律传媒集团负责人谢京庭女士透过视频向嘉宾致辞 ，天达共和律师事务所管理合伙人、北京办管委会主任李铮律师则于现场致辞。他们共同祝贺十五佳总法律顾问获奖，并欢迎各位嘉宾的出席。
谢京庭女士在致辞中说道，在全球化、数字化的浪潮下，企业所面临的合规挑战愈发复杂。总法律顾问的角色也已深刻转型。他们不仅是法律的守护者，更是公司战略的核心推动者，站在企业管理的最前线，保障企业在复杂多变的商业环境中稳步前行。
李铮律师感谢了各位总法的出席，并对上榜总法和背后卓越的法务团队表示祝贺。他指出，回顾过去一年，亚洲乃至世界法律界都经历了前所未有的挑战与变革，在全球经济不确定性加剧、地缘政治紧张的背景下，法律人以他们的智慧和勇气为世界做出了不可磨灭的贡献。
随后，活动进入圆桌讨论环节。现场的5桌嘉宾组成5个小组，就“立足当下，拥抱未来——法律人的专业与视野”这一话题展开了热烈分享。
5个小组从所在行业机会和挑战、法务团队的责任和担当、外部律师的选择标准、总法的多重思维、法务的“情绪价值”、科技工具的运用、下一阶段工作重点等角度，结合过去一年工作的成绩与难题、创新与突破，坦诚分享了总法律顾问及团队工作中的苦与甜。
讨论过后，每个小组推举出了一位总法代表，上台与天达共和的合伙人共同展开对话。
对话环节由天达共和律师事务所北京办管理合伙人、知识产权部负责人管冰律师主持，同时邀请到天达共和律师事务所北京办管理合伙人、争议解决部负责人纪超一律师、杭州办管理合伙人黄鹏律师参与。
分享嘉宾则为远大医药法务合规部高级总监李轶忱女士；交个朋友控股有限公司集团副总裁兼法律合规部负责人、集团工会主席张智明先生；湖南建投集团总法律顾问、首席合规官方拯先生；SIG集团亚太北区法务及合规总监周颖先生等。
在令人意犹未尽的讨论后，活动进入到高潮的颁奖环节，本环节由多位天达共和律师事务所合伙人担任颁奖嘉宾，十五佳总法律顾问或其代表依次上台领奖，发表他们的感言心得。

Top 15 General Counsel Honored at ALB East & Concord GC Winners Roundtable
On October 18, the 2024 ALB East & Concord GC Winners Roundtable was successfully held at the PuXuan Hotel in Beijing. The event, moderated by Liu Siqiang, Director of Brand Operations at East & Concord Partners, welcomed the ALB China top 15 general counsel named this year, along with their representatives.
Amantha Chia, Head of the Legal Media Group at Thomson Reuters, addressed the attendees via video, while Li Zheng, Managing Partner and Director of the Management Committee at East & Concord' Beijing office, delivered an in-person speech. They congratulated this year's general counsel winners and welcomed all guests.
In her speech, Chia remarked that in the face of globalization and digitalization, compliance challenges for companies have become increasingly complex. The role of general counsel has evolved profoundly—they are now core strategists at the helm of corporate management, ensuring businesses navigate forward steadily in a complex, ever-changing environment.
Li expressed gratitude to all in-house counsel in attendance and congratulated the top-ranking GCs and their exceptional legal teams. He highlighted that over the past year, the legal field in Asia and globally has faced unprecedented challenges and transformations. Amid increasing global economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions, legal professionals have made invaluable contributions through their wisdom and courage.
The event continued with a roundtable discussion. Five groups of attendees engaged in lively discussions on the theme “Grounded in the Present, Embracing the Future—The Profession and Vision of Legal Professionals.” Each group discussed industry opportunities and challenges, responsibilities of legal teams, criteria for selecting external counsel, the multi-dimensional thinking required of GCs, the "emotional value" of legal work, the use of technology tools, and their focus areas for the coming year.
Following the discussion, each group selected a representative to participate in an on-stage dialogue with East & Concord’s partners, moderated by Guan Bing, Managing Partner and Head of the Intellectual Property Department at the Beijing Office, along with Ji Chaoyi, Managing Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Department at the Beijing Office, and Huang Peng, Managing Partner at the Hangzhou Office.
The panel welcomed distinguished guests Avril Li, Head of the Legal and Compliance Department at Grand Pharma (China); Melvin Zhang, Vice President & General Counsel, Chairman of Trade Union at Be Friends; Fang Zheng, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Hunan Construction Investment Group; and Kenneth Zhou, Head of Legal & Compliance AP-N at SIG Group.
Following the insightful panel, the awards ceremony commenced. Partners from East & Concord presented the awards to the general counsel winners and their representatives.
After the ceremony, the honorees gathered with their peers to enjoy dinner and connect further. With a joint toast led by Ge Xiangyang, Partner at East & Concord's Beijing Office, and Xing Dongmei, Managing Partner and Head of the Business Management Committee, the attendees celebrated past achievements and encouraged one another to pursue future successes.
