总部位于香港的许杜岑律师事务所即将与盈科律师事务正式建立战略合作关系，尚待香港律师协会批准。
该所最初由许咏雯律师于 2021 年创立，去年 10 月，随着来自贝克∙麦坚时律师事务所的争议解决专家岑君毅律师和来自 Dentons 的企业并购专家杜珠联律师的加盟，许杜岑实现了快速发展。
岑律师告诉 ALB ：“这是一家由三位好友共同创办的律所。”事务所现已拥有 20 名专业人员，包括三名合伙人、两名顾问和两名注册外国律师。
岑律师拥有二十多年的执业经验，他曾在安胜恪道律师事务所担任争议解决部主管，并在洛克律师事务所领导仲裁业务，他的业务领域涵盖诉讼、仲裁、调解和在线争议解决。杜律师负责盈科在香港的家族办公室事务，在投资结构、资本市场、企业融资和监管合规方面拥有二十多年的专业经验，此前也曾在Dentons工作了23年。许律师作为资本市场合伙人，进一步加强了该所在大湾区的服务能力。
岑律师表示，与总部位于北京的盈科建立战略联盟，是为了满足日益增长的跨境法律服务需求，尤其是中国公司在进行国际投资时对跨境法律服务的需求。
“鉴于盈科的规模、客户覆盖面和知名度，他们的客户在海外投资时非常需要将香港作为一个'超级连接器'。” 岑律师补充道。
岑律师进一步指出：“许杜岑正计划着进一步扩张，此次合作也是标志着事务所转型的里程碑，我们的目标是成为香港乃至全球最好的律师事务所之一。而盈科拥有23,000名律师的人才网络，我们的客户群将得到大幅扩大，因此，我们也会继续适应盈科内部的律所文化。”
此外，这一战略合作还反映了香港法律界的一大趋势，即总部位于大陆的律所正越来越多地在香港建立稳固的立足点。这种扩张的主要原因是中国企业对海外投资的需求不断增长，以及对无缝跨境法律服务的需求。因此，伴随着国际所不断收缩业务，越来越多的中国所也将认识到香港是增强其全球能力的理想驻扎地。
HK: ‘Three good friends’ found new firm to partner with China’s Yingke
Hui Doe & Sum Law Firm, a Hong Kong-based practice, is set to enter into a formal association with Yingke Law Firm, China's largest law firm by headcount, pending approval from the Law Society of Hong Kong.
Originally established as WM Hui Law Firm by corporate partner Vivian Hui in 2021, the firm saw significant growth in October of last year with the addition of seasoned dispute resolution lawyer Ronald Sum from Baker McKenzie and veteran corporate M&A lawyer Julianne Doe from Dentons.
"This is a firm started by three good friends," Sum told ALB. The practice has since grown to 20 professionals, including three partners, two consultants, and two registered foreign lawyers.
The founding partners bring extensive experience from international practices. Sum, with over two decades in dispute resolution, was formerly a partner at Baker McKenzie Hong Kong. His previous roles include heading dispute resolution at Addleshaw Goddard and leading the arbitration practice at Locke Lord. Sum’s practice spans litigation, arbitration, mediation, and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR).
Doe, who oversees Yingke's family office matters in Hong Kong, brings over two decades of expertise in investment structures, capital markets, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance, having spent 23 years at Dentons. Hui, as a capital markets partner, strengthens the firm's Greater Bay Area capabilities. Both Sum and Hui are qualified Greater Bay Area Lawyers and China Appointed Attesting Officers.
Sum said that the strategic alliance with Beijing-based Yingke was in response to the growing demand for cross-border legal services, particularly from Chinese companies pursuing international investments.
"Given Yingke's size, client reach, and profile, there is a substantial need for their clients to use Hong Kong as a 'super connector' when investing overseas," Sum explained.
This partnership marks a transformative milestone for Hui Doe & Sum. "While we need to adapt to Yingke's internal culture - which we view positively - our client base will expand significantly, considering Yingke's network of 23,000 lawyers," noted Sum. The firm is planning further expansion to accommodate increased service capacity, with Sum adding, "We aim to be one of the best law firms in Hong Kong and in the world."
In addition, this development reflects a broader trend in Hong Kong's legal landscape, where mainland Chinese law firms are increasingly establishing strong footholds. This expansion is primarily driven by increasing demand from Chinese companies pursuing overseas investments and the need for seamless cross-border legal services. With international firms shrinking their presence, more PRC firms have recognised Hong Kong as an ideal base to enhance their global capabilities.
