Haiwen & Partners has beefed up its intellectual property practice with the appointment of Hanguo Zhang as a partner in Beijing. Zhang joins from the China National Intellectual Property Administration.  

Zhang, who focuses on patent review and patent litigation, spent more than ten years with the Patent Re-examination Board of CNIPA as the director of the legal affairs of the patent reexamination department. 

Zhang also has experience in trademark and copyright and was involved in many trademark cases. 

“The arrival of Zhang will further strengthen our capability in IP practice,” the firm said in a statement.

此外，张律师也在商标和版权领域有比较深厚的法律功底和经验，曾经作为合议组成员在北京地区的法院审理了近百件商标等领域的知识产权案件。
