Llinks Law Offices has hired funds expert Frank Fu as a counsel in Shanghai from the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Fu has experience in regulating fund management companies (FMCs), private fund managers (PFMs), asset management business of securities firms and futures firms, and fund-related institutions. In his previous role, he was responsible for regulating certain FMCs, and led in inspections of retail fund businesses, privately-raised asset management businesses of securities and futures companies, and PFMs. 

Fu worked in Fund Supervision Division, Institution Supervision Division III of the Shanghai branch of the China Securities Regulatory Commission Shanghai Branch for eight years. He became a government lawyer of the CSRC in 2017.

With the addition of Fu, Llinks is expected to strengthen its capabilities in fund and asset management, especially in compliance advice, assistance in compliance investigations and assessment of compliance effectiveness.

The Shanghai office now has three fund partners and four counsel, including Fu.
