Clyde & Co’s China joint law venture (JLV) has hired corporate and M&A specialist Yang Liu as a partner from Shanghai law firm HaoLiWen Partners.

The JLV, Clyde & Co Westlink, was formed between Clyde and Chongqing’s Westlink Partnership in 2013. 

Liu advises clients in industries including media, financial service, logistics, real estate, manufacturing, internet, IT service. He also has experience in advising on shipping, international trade and logistic matters. 

Liu joined HaoLiWen in 2012, and was head of that firm’s M&A and capital market practice. He has worked for other firms including Richard Wang & Co and Singapore’s Drew & Napier, and also held senior in-house roles with AEI China and Xinhua Finance.
