Beijing-headquartered Hylands Law Firm has opened a new office in the southern city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province.
The office, led by partner Wang Kai, has a total headcount of 63 people, including 17 partners. It will focus on criminal, civil and commercial law, intellectual property, finance, securities and funds, customs, real estate and construction, and Internet finance.
The firm told ALB that the opening of the Shenzhen office is a strategic step to its overall development and will complete its network in the Great Bay Area as it currently has offices in Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Dongguan.
Hylands added that it plans to open more offices, and hire more partners, in the next two years.
Founded in 1997, Hylands also has offices in Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Shenyang, Changsha, Jiangyin and Hefei. It has 238 partners and 876 practising lawyers, paralegals and other professional legal staff.
