霍金路伟律师事务所近日迎来魏廉（Don Williams）、牟光栋、徐琤三位律师以合伙人身份加盟，未来他们将共同执业于霍金路伟上海办公室。加盟前，他们都曾任盛智律师事务所上海办公室合伙人。

三位律师都是公司与融资业务专家。魏律师经常为各类跨境交易提供法律服务，特别关注于并购、私募股权／风险投资及资本市场领域，他尤为熟悉TMT行业。

牟律师的执业重点为一般公司及交易事宜，尤其擅长资本筹集交易、合资及外商直接投资、并购及风险资本基金创立；徐律师则专注于私募股权／风险投资交易及跨境并购，同时熟悉亚洲及西方主要市场的中国离岸交易、并购交易，及中外合资。

三位律师多年来曾参与阿里巴巴的诸多战略投资及并购交易，并为Grab就其25亿美元G轮融资及其他战略投资提供服务。

魏律师此前曾任盛智上海办公室管理合伙人兼首席代表，这支三人组离开后，盛智上海办公室只剩下两名合伙人。2019年3月，盛智关闭了北京代表处——牟律师此前曾任其北京代表处首席代表。

Hogan Lovells nabs trio from Sheppard Mullin in Shanghai

Hogan Lovells has hired Don Williams, Tony Mou and Xu Cheng as corporate partners in its Shanghai office. The trio all joined from Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton’s Shanghai office, where they were all partners.

The three lawyers are all corporate & finance experts. Don Williams advises on a broad range of cross border transactions, particularly M&A, PE/VC and capital markets, with a strong focus on the TMT sector.

Meanwhile Tony Mou focuses on general corporate and transactional matters with a particular emphasis on capital raising transactions, joint venture and foreign direct investment, M&A, as well as venture capital fund formation. Xu’s practice focuses on PE/VC transactions and cross-border M&A in addition to general corporate and business matters, with expertise in offshore China transactions, M&A transactions throughout Asia and major Western markets, and Sino-foreign joint ventures.

The trio has represented Alibaba on a multitude of strategic investments and M&A transactions over many years as well as Grab on its $2.5 billion Series G funding round and other strategic investments. 

Don Williams was also the managing partner and chief representative of Sheppard Mullin’s Shanghai office. With the trio’s left, Sheppard now has only two partners in Shanghai. According to ALB’s previous reportage, Sheppard closed its Beijing office, where Mou was the chief representative, in March 2019.
