近日，香港国际仲裁中心（HKIAC）2024年案件统计数据发布，结果显示，其各项核心业务指标在过去一年均创历史新高，进一步巩固了香港作为国际争议解决中心的领先地位。
2024年，HKIAC共受理案件503起，其中仲裁案件352起——创下HKIAC历史新高。去年争议金额总计达1,060亿港元（约136亿美元），也刷新HKIAC纪录。
HKIAC继续保持着高度国际化的特点。受理案件中的76.4%为国际案件，当事人来自53个司法管辖区，较2023年数据有显著增长。值得注意的是，其中约15%的案件完全不涉及亚洲当事人，表明HKIAC正持续扩大其全球影响。
排名前列的案件争议类型包括商事、国际贸易/货物销售、公司、海事海商。
深化内港合作也是HKIAC在过去一年的关键词之一。2024年，HKIAC与中国内地的合作取得了重要进展。根据《关于内地与香港特别行政区法院就仲裁程序相互协助保全的安排》，HKIAC处理了40例保全申请，所涉及的保全总金额达91亿元人民币，充分体现了两地司法协助的有效性。
去年12月，HKIAC正式开设北京代表处，成为首家在京设立代表处的境外仲裁机构，也是继上海之后，其在内地的第二家代表处。
此外，HKIAC积极推动仲裁员的多元化构成。过去一年，HKIAC作出了199项仲裁员指定，其中34.7%为女性仲裁员，36.7%则为过去三年中从未被其指定过的新面孔。此外，HKIAC还新推出多样性条款，进一步助力仲裁行业的包容性发展。

The Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) has released its case statistics for 2024, revealing unprecedented growth across key performance indicators and cementing Hong Kong's status as a leading international dispute resolution hub.
According to HKIAC, it administered 503 cases in 2024, including 352 arbitration cases, with total disputed amounts reaching US$13.6 billion.
Firstly, the statistics highlight HKIAC's strong international profile, with 76.4% of cases classified as international disputes. The institution drew parties from 53 jurisdictions in 2024, up from 45 in 2023. Notably, about 15% of cases involved no Asian parties, demonstrating HKIAC's expanding global reach.
The types of disputes in the top-ranked cases included commercial, international trade/goods sale, corporate, and admiralty and maritime.
In addition, in a significant development for cross-border cooperation, HKIAC processed 40 preservation applications under the Arrangement Concerning Mutual Assistance in Court-ordered Interim Measures in Aid of Arbitral Proceedings between Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR. These applications involved preservation orders totaling RMB 9.1 billion, showcasing the effectiveness of judicial assistance between the two jurisdictions.
In December last year, HKIAC officially opened its Beijing representative office, becoming the first foreign arbitration institution to set up a representative office in Beijing and its second representative office in the Mainland after Shanghai.
What’s more, HKIAC also made substantial progress in promoting diversity within arbitration. Of the 199 arbitrator appointments made in 2024, 34.7% were female arbitrators, while 36.7% were first-time appointments within the past three years. The institution further introduced new diversity provisions to foster greater inclusivity in arbitration practice.
